Have you been on the intertubes this week? Then you have probably heard about this disgusting article by a blogger for Marie Claire about how fat people don't deserve happiness. And if you eat more fibre you won't be such a fatass. Really, it's EASY!

I'm not even obese but this got me riled up like you wouldn't believe. I sent angry emails, tweets, comments. I would have flown to New York and punched Maura Kelly in the face if I could. She then edited her article with a weak crybaby apology. Apparently the woman has suffered from anorexia and bulimia for years so this colours her perspective (YA THINK?). But I don't care. It's just so goddamned hurtful and stupid all around. And poorly written to boot. She should know exactly how it feels to be ashamed of your body, to worry about what other people are thinking of you - yet she has the audacity to judge others.

I was still fuming when I woke up this morning so I checked her blog to see if she had updated. Nothing about fatties, but she did blog about Jane Austen:
